IR615 don't support sending SMS by command, but you can do some control by sending SMS to the device.
What problem are you trying to solve by sending SMS from IR615?
I have a similar need to send an SMS message from an IR302. My network service provider (Telstra) uses SMS messages to query the current balance of a prepaid mobile account.
